Tyler Chalfin

Chief Operating Officer

Biography

As Chief Operating Officer, Tyler Chalfin drives Perfected Claims' day-to-day operations and is determined to live up to the mission of fighting for justice when people are harmed. He oversees all operational components from the first advertisement a person sees to the last dollar they receive in settlement. In the 2017 and 2018 California Wildfires litigation, he led the team to a 99.6% client retention rate for over 16,000 clients.

Today, Tyler has helped build the team from 10 people to 80 and counting, connecting everyone to the Perfected mission through its core values. Channeling his experience when he was younger in Brooklyn, NY, as a Teach for America teacher fighting for justice and then helping build a personalized learning platform in the education space, he is grounded in the why we do this work and the belief that the traditional way mass tort case acquisition and management has been done makes it nearly impossible to meet each client's unique needs. He profoundly believes people deserve better and is steadfast in developing a better approach.

After graduating from Arizona State with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Tyler earned his Master's degree from Hunter College and was accepted into Columbia University for his PhD. He previously was a professor at New York University.

In his personal life, Tyler and his partner, Nikeya, have two Boston terriers: Pippa and Penelope. Tyler enjoys golfing, reading non-fiction, hidden gem restaurants, and enjoys healthy competition in bocce and shuffleboard. Your Why: A grandmother who left this world too soon.
